It is located at Cam. Paso de la Arena 2460, 10 km from the port of Montevideo. A Continuous Improvement process is applied in order to optimize the Processes, achieving efficient and reliable performance. Several processes are carried out in this plant:
Oilseed Processing Plant
Oilseeds of sunflower, soybean or canola are received by truck. After going through a conditioning process that includes drying and cleaning, the seeds are stored in cells specially conditioned for this purpose.
From these deposits the seed is sent to the Milling Process where it is conditioned for its entry into the Extraction Process, obtaining crude oil and protein flours.
Depending on the seed being processed, different oil and flour yields are obtained.
The protein flour obtained is marketed directly for animal consumption.
The oil obtained is crude oil, which is stored until its subsequent Refining Process.
Oil Refining:
To obtain edible oil, the crude oil enters the Refinery where the Dewaxing, Neutralizing, Bleaching and Deodorizing Processes are carried out, leaving the oil in conditions to be packaging.
Mayonnaise Processing Plant:
From our refined oil and using pasteurized liquid egg, we make mayonnaise and dressings in a state-of-the-art plant that meets the highest quality standards.
On this same industrial land are also located the AAK Special Fats Processing Plant, the AGA-Linde Hydrogen Generation Plant and the ALUR Biodiesel Plant No. 1.
All these Industrial Plants operate sharing industrial land as well as the entire common services platform, achieving important economies of scale and synergies between the different projects.
