In recognition of the dedication to work and care in food processing, C.O.U.S.A. has certifications valued worldwide:
In 1996, it received certification of its Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard from LATU and IQnet.
Two years later, its Environmental Management System was internationally recognized and certified according to the ISO 14001 standard.
In 1999, more ambitious goals were set and it was decided to implement a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points System (HACCP).
Also demonstrating its commitment to its workers, C.O.U.S.A. In 2003, it certified its Occupational Health and Safety Management System under the OHSAS 18001 standard.
In July 2004, the mayonnaise production process was certified under the standards imposed on food manufacturers by the British Retail Consortium (BRC, Class A), making C.O.U.S.A. the first company in Latin America to be certified under this standard for mayonnaise.

In addition, this certification was extended to the packaging and storage of edible fats, later broadening the scope to the production of special CBE fats. In this same year, the Food Safety Management System was certified according to the ISO 22000 standard, thus continuing the commitment to produce foods that do not cause harm to consumers.
In 2013, reaffirming its commitment to continuous improvement and the efficiency of its processes, C.O.U.S.A. certified its Energy Management System according to the ISO 50001 standard, once again being a pioneer by becoming the first Uruguayan company to be certified under this standard.
